You can add your own Property Types and Panes to either user-defined or predefined Object Types.
What do you want to do?
The following tasks should be stepped through in order to create new Property Types and Panes. All tasks are performed in Model Explorer's Design view.
Stage 1: Create a new Property Type for an Object Type
Stage 2: Create a new Pane for an Object Type
Stage 3: Assign a new Property Type to a new Pane
Tips and Additional Information |
Remember: when you create a Property Type, it is owned by the Object Type you selected in stage 1 above. However, it cannot be seen by users on the Object Type's Properties dialog until it has been assigned to a Pane (stage 3). Once you have completed all three stages described above, you can see the results immediately. For example, if you added an additional Pane (and its Property Types) to a Process and you open the properties dialog for any instance of a Process, then the new Pane is immediately visible and usable. |
